Children typically have about 10 weeks off from school during the summer. Most children have a week off from school sometime during the spring and some children have a week off around President’s Day in February. Since Spring Break schedules vary by school district, the best bet for finding a camp that coincides with your child’s break is through your school district, city recreation department, local churches, YMCAs or community organizations.
Most children also have two weeks off from school around the Christmas holiday. Winter Break camps are a fun and safe childcare option for parents who work during the school break. City recreation departments, YMCAs, play places, art studios and sports centers often offer Winter Break camps.
